New Nix Books on the Way
Gollancz has recently announced that they will be publishing two new fantasy novels from bestselling author Garth Nix.
The two books are titled Angel Mage and The Left-handed Booksellers of London and will be released in October of this year, and an unknown date next year respectively.
Gollancz has announced that Angel Mage is the story of an ageless young woman with terrifying angelic powers, bent on being reunited with her lover – no matter the cost to anyone else.
The Left-handed Booksellers of London, is to tell the story of a young art student, Susan. Who comes to London in 1983 in search of the father she never knew and is drawn into the arcane business of the booksellers whose secret sideline is to ensure that mythic entities and dormant legends do not intrude, disastrously, into the modern world.
Nix had this to say about the deal:
‘I am absolutely delighted to be working with Gillian Redfearn and her team at Gollancz. They are clearly the preeminent publishers of fantasy in the UK and my books will be in very good company indeed.’
Nix will already be familiar to many of our readers, having sold more than five million books worldwide.
If he’s new to you, then a good place to start is his “Old Kingdom” series, now consisting of five novels (and a few novellas).
