The British Science Fiction Association has announced the winners of their awards for work published in 2018.

There were four categories up for grabs, Best Novel, Best Shorter Fiction, Best Non-Fiction and Best Artwork. The winners in each catergory are listed below:

Best Novel

• Embers of War by Gareth L Powell (Titan Books)

Best Shorter Fiction

• Time Was by Ian McDonald (Tor.com)

Best Non-Fiction

• Aliette de Bodard – On motherhood and erasure: people-shaped holes, hollow characters and the illusion of impossible adventures (Intellectus Speculativus blog)

Best Artwork

• Likhain’s In the Vanishers’ Palace: Dragon I and II (Inprnt)
