Breaking from our usual habit of focussing exclusively on literary happenings within
SFF, we are pleased to announce that the Parsec Awards have opened their nomination process for the 2017 award ceremony held later in the year.
The Parsec Awards are now in their 12th year and are awarded for excellence, not in SFF literature, but in SFF podcasting.
Their awards cover both fiction and non-fiction work and are a great example of how the genre is adapting to the age of new media.
Nominations are open until the 1st of June on the Parsec Award Website and anyone is free to nominate their favourite work, whether fan or content creator. So if you happen to think that your own one-man show is the best Science Fiction podcast out there, this is your chance!
All nominations are collated and then assessed by the steering committee who narrow down the selection to five finalists in each category before the final round of voting begins.
