Shirley Jackson Award Nominees Announced

The Shirley Jackson Awards, to recognise outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic, have announced their nominees for the 2016 awards.   Founded in 2007, the awards are named in honour of Shirley Jackson, the author of numerous works such as The Haunting of Hill House and We Have Always Lived in the Castle.

Aurealis Awards Call for Judges

This is one for our Australian readers. The Aurealis Awards, the premier Science Fiction and Fantasy awards in Australia, have put out an open call for new judges for 2017! Aurealis judges are all volunteers and (from their webiste) the only qualification you need to be a judge is “a demonstrated knowledge of and interest in their chosen category”.
